We have received a number of inquiries from customers who purchased used industrial furnaces manufactured by TOYO-RO through third-party vendors without consulting us directly.

In some cases, customers have paid substantial fees to contractors for relocation and commissioning. However, the contractors were unable to complete the process and withdrew without providing further support. As a result, customers ultimately turned to us for assistance.

Unfortunately, there have also been cases where furnaces were represented as “TOYO-RO products manufactured in a certain year,” but our investigation revealed that the actual manufacturing date was significantly earlier—sometimes by as much as 10 years.

At TOYO-RO, we take pride in every furnace we manufacture and remain committed to supporting our products. Regardless of when you contact us, we will do our utmost to assist you.

However, for furnaces handled by third parties with unclear relocation or commissioning histories, we must begin with a full inspection to assess their condition and identify any issues. While we regret any inconvenience this may cause, please note that such services are provided on a fee basis.

As a result, the total cost associated with used furnaces may become significant. In some cases, customers may find that purchasing a new furnace would have been more cost-effective in the long term, with fewer maintenance concerns. Additionally, the time required for commissioning may be extended due to the need for re-evaluation.

For reference, below are the approximate costs for standard relocation, overhaul, and commissioning services:

When contracting relocation services with third-party vendors, we strongly recommend the following:

・Clearly define inspection and acceptance criteria

・Make full payment only after successful acceptance

・Establish a warranty period

・Require detailed work reports, including photos and parts replacement records

We are also happy to verify the accuracy of manufacturing dates provided by third parties, based on documentation.

In addition, we can provide sample overhaul reports for comparison when evaluating other vendors.

If we are ultimately requested to service a used furnace purchased through a third party, the work will be treated as maintenance of equipment handled outside our direct scope, until the furnace meets the agreed standards between the customer and TOYO-RO.
